Scratch Art

I use “white scratch paper” to create ocean art work.  If you don’t have a class set of the stylus, you can use wooden skewers.  A package is found quite reasonable in your local grocery stores.  A rainbow of color which suits the colors of coral and fish appear with what we call our magic pencils.  I mount them on turquoise paper to make a wonderful display called “Whale of a Tale”.

(I order black scratch paper to create Halloween night adventures.  When you scratch, you discover colors of your costumes and of the night.  Mounted on orange paper they look great!)

Paint By Number

Don’t forget this interesting math class. I use large colored felts to make a code to match a number to a color.  I place in the middle of the table and the students have fun with their water colors following this guide of paint by number.  This one was done by a kindergarten student.
