Don’t forget to use Kid Pix with your classes.  There are great ocean creatures, ocean life and paint a scene.  I had kindergarten students create their ocean scene and then they shared the picture with their grade five reading buddy.  They discussed the story and then went to the computer lab.  The grade five students keyboarded the story.  I displayed them with the Kid Pix ocean art scene.  This could become a book of stories and illustrations.  It gives a new dimension to the “buddy reading program” as the grade five carefully listened to the details provided by their young author.
