We responded to the story Big Boy.  Children thought of one thing they would wish for if they encountered the magical bird in the story.  They drew and wrote about their wish.  Then they switched their stories with a partner.  The partner had to think of what might happen if that wish came true, just like in the  story.  What would you wish for?

Austin thought if you were a robot you might not be able to eat ice cream again.
Andrew wished for all the toys in the world.

Chris thought that if he got his wish there would be no toys left to buy him for Christmas so he will only get clothes on Christmas.

Alexis thought that someone might break in and steal all that money.
Eriq wished for money for the poor.

Joshua thought that was a good wish.
